Is your web site mobile friendly?
On Thursday, February 26, 2015 Google announced:
Starting April 21, we will be expanding our use of mobile-friendliness as a ranking signal. This change will affect mobile searches in all languages worldwide and will have a significant impact in our search results. Consequently, users will find it easier to get relevant, high quality search results that are optimized for their devices.
So depending on what mobile device your visitors are using will depend on how high your site ranks if it does not conform to the new Google way of thinking, they feel that users should get the best experience when viewing web sites.
Good News: Six weeks later many people are still finding that their web sites still rank as high for certain key words as it did before the update, even though their web site is not mobile friendly.
Bad News: Your customer user experience is not good and have you considered how many users are simply moving on to other sites when they find they can not use yours? I know I do, if I find a web site that I find hard to use I look for one that isn’t.
